You are the Body of the Anointed One and each
of you is a unique and vital part of it.
– 1 Corinthians 12:27 TPT –

The vision of NBCF is to see all walking in the fullness of Christ. Just as we see that God is moving in the adults, it is safe to assume He has the same in mind for our children. We are teaching our children to walk in fullness, completely surrendered to the Lordship of Jesus Christ!
Each age may express Christ differently. But we are told to “Train up a child in the way he should go (and in keeping with his individual gift or bent), and when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6 AMP. This is an awesome time to raise our children because we know that God is pouring out His Spirit on all men. Jesus states strongly in Matthew 19:14, “Let the children come to me. Don‟t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.” It‟s an honor to teach those that compose the Kingdom of Heaven!
We believe that it is important to impart to them concepts that, in past generations, were discovered later on in life. We know, and pray fervently, that God will continue to speak to our children just as He said in Joel and brings with passion into the New Covenant in Acts 2:17—”In the last days,” God says, “I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions. . .” We have to keep in mind we are raising children that will have to face tough times. If we listen and help guide them they can use their childlike faith to speak out, believe with authority, and walk in the power of Holy Spirit.
“Playing with a Purpose” Nursery: Ages 0-4
Playing with a Purpose provides a warm, nurturing environment for wee ones to be stimulated by the Word of God and discover basic truths about the Father and about themselves. Our nursery ministry is available on Sunday mornings, just following worship. One of our friendly nursery workers will greet you at the nursery and guide you through the simple registration process. We use a customized curriculum to make our play purposeful while devoting our greatest attention to recognizing each child’s unique qualities and making them feel special and loved.
Mothers with babies or young toddlers may use our nursery room as needed during services. The nursery is equipped with a changing area, a sink, imaginative play toys, and a private nursing area.
DiscipleKids: Ages 5 and up
DiscipleKids is our Kid’s Church which is designed to train and equip our children to live powerful and purposeful lives as followers of Christ. We desire to guide our children into a place where they know and are dependent upon the Word of God; where they put their faith into action and see it produce; where they know who they are and what they are here to do; where they hear the voice of the Holy Spirit and obey; where they develop the character and attitudes of Christ; and where they enjoy a relationship with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit! While we do use a curriculum to guide our teachings, we always give place to the Holy Spirit, first and foremost.
DiscipleKids meet following the morning worship service. After the worship segment ends, the kids are invited to participate in kid’s ministry in Classroom 101. Once church is over, parents must come to the classroom to pick up their children. Parents may also visit with the classroom teacher and ask questions before or after services.
Family Sunday (3rd Sundays): On the third Sunday of each month, the DiscipleKids enjoy listening to the sermon in the sanctuary with their families. The kids are provided with a sermon notes sheet to help them jot down things that stand out as well as questions they may have from the teaching. Families also have the opportunity to share in taking communion together on Family Sunday.
Cultural Day: On the 4th Sunday of each month, we deviate from our Bible lessons and learn about a country around the world. We explore geography, language, fun facts, the history of how the Gospel first reached the country, and more. The kids also get to enjoy an authentic snack or recipe from the country they learn about! This is an enriching time for the kids to explore the world around them and learn about God’s heart for the nations!
Note: Teaching and activities are geared toward school-aged children; however, we do make exceptions based on individual readiness! Please contact the Children’s Ministry Director, Brooke Jack, with any questions: bdjack@inbcf.com
